If you're trying to save money and you have kids, you may want to use your Chuck E Cheese coupons as an icebreaker to start putting a little money away.
I visit the Chuckmeister near my home with my kids at least once a month, and usually it's once every two weeks. Every time I visit i make sure I've got my free coupons with me and with the money I save, I put that amount away in a little Ziploc bag I have at home; after about a month, I take the money out of that little plastic bag and I deposit it into a separate savings account at my bank.
So here's what you can do if you want to save money like I do:
1. Make a grocery list and separate your food choices into categories like dairy products, canned goods, etc.
2. Next, when Sunday rolls around start cutting out coupons you think you may be able to use somewhere down the road, and archive them in a small file box ( I like to use the ones that old 3x5 cards). Use tabs to separate each category so you can organize your Chuck E Cheese and other coupons and have easy access to them.
3. Keep in mind when "couponing" you should keep an open mind when it comes to either trying a new product because it has a coupon versus not budging and staying with your usual product even though there's no coupon that week for that particular brand. Sometimes using coupons for new products (which is why companies make them available in the first place) pays off when you find out you like the new product better than the usual one.
4. When you finish shopping for groceries, other products, or services like Chucky's, take what you saved and deposit it into a little folder or Ziploc bag. Voila! you're starting to save.
With my Chuck E Cheese coupons, aside from the excellent discounts they have for tokens to play their games, I'm able to save at least 5 dollars every time we visit. Now, that may not sound like much, but it's one of many discounts I receive every year, and believe me, it adds up!
